Our Story
the creation of apprentice
For the first time ever, small business owners and startup entrepreneurs can have access to the top college talent in the world. Talent that was usually reserved for investment banks and consulting firms can now be working on your business, helping you in Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Logistics. Our vision is to create one million mentors over the next 20 years.
2019
Rob Berk began working for Dave Kerpen as his executive assistant while still a first-year student at Hamilton College.
In the summer of 2019, Sam Nesbitt met Dave Kerpen while working as a camp counselor.
2021
After publishing his first book, Why Wait? Rob expanded into Why Wait? the podcast covering conversations with leading entrepreneurs, creative innovators, and thought leaders.
Sam advanced in sales and leadership. He became the first non-founder to generate a new client for the company. He rose to the position of VP of sales, and then eventually partner.
TODAY
Since launch, we have connected with over 500 Apprentices with businesses and helped leaders delegate over 5 million hours of work.
Apprentice is now a platform for students to learn, grow, connect, and develop the skills they need for success upon graduation.
2020
Under the mentorship of Dave, Rob co-authored a book, ran independent projects for million dollar+ clients, and learned as much working for Dave as he did in entire college experience.
Together they launched Apprentice in 2020 to create a platform to change the lives of entrepreneurs and college students.
2022
Rob stepped up as sole CEO of the company and Dave became Executive Chairman. Sam was promoted to Senior Partner and Chief Revenue Officer.
Supporting more than 250 entrepreneurs in growing their businesses and we created paid work opportunities and generated over $1M in income for college students.
